CELEBRITY NUMBER ONE:

Spotted: Kate Middleton was greeted by media and supporters outside Lindo Wing last Tuesday evening (23rd July) where the new mother was holding onto her gorgeous baby boy; George Alexander Luis.

If there is one thing we couldn’t take our eyes off other than baby George, the happy couple and Kate’s envy-inducing glow; it was her blue polka dot dress which had the fashion world in a spin.

The short sleeved dress was synched in at the waist, which not only resembled that of Princess Diana’s when she had given birth to Prince William but is also a bespoke Jenny Packham; which was made for Kate to wear.

However, I come (as always) bearing great news on how you can get a replica of this gorgeous dress; thanks to our online friends, ASOS. Their version of the smock dress is almost eerily similar to Kate’s, but in lilac – which is a great colour for the current sunny weather.

For £50, it might be a bit pricey for our student budgets, but it can be worn for any occasion over the summer that you might be attending and would be sure to be a keepsake of the most memorable day in this year’s baby bloom!

CELEBRITY NUMBER TWO:

Spotted: Justin Theroux styled in full rock star attire out with equally gorgeous girlfriend, Jennifer Anniston.

Justin Theroux

If there is one look that makes me weak at the knees, it’s the “hey look at me I’m in a rock band” look. The skinny jeans with dirty worn boots and an old t-shirt might scream ‘mess’ to some, but to me and others it screams ‘uber cool’ in the best way possible.

The actor who was spotted with girlfriend Jennifer Aniston last week wore black skinny jeans, worn out combat boots and a sleeveless slogan tee. Although the colours are dark for summer, it’s a great outfit for any daytime adventure and is sure to keep the attention on those fab arms like Justin has.

Topman have a great range of vests for this summer with all kinds of slogans and bands displayed on the front. The one I’ve chosen out of the huge selection is an acid wash grey vest at £14. However there are so many more in lighter, more summery colours for you to take your pick!

As for the jeans, I’ve heard endless praises on H&M’s behalf for their cheap and cheerful yet quality jeans. For £14.99, these low rise skinnies are sure to get the ‘OK’ from me because they’re not only extremely versatile, but they’ll never go out of fashion because of their colour and fit.

Make like a rock star and get some edge in your wardrobe just like Justin.

CELEBRITY NUMBER THREE:

Spotted: Ian Somerhalder at last week’s comic con in San Diego.

Ian Somerhalder

There is something pretty enchanting and mysterious about Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon, one half of the gorgeous Salvatore brothers in the hit us series “The Vampire Diaries”. His outfit choices are never crazy or outlandishly bright and in your face, they’re calm, toned down and usually dark like Damon’s personality in the vampire show.

Like the rest of the TVD cast, Ian arrived at Comic Con, wearing a navy blazer and trouser combo with a grey t-shirt instead of the formal crisp white shirt. His choice, for me, was perfect because he was smart enough for the event but still cool and edgy at the same time in the only way that Ian knows how.

As I mentioned last week with the Ryan Gosling suit outfit, Topman and ASOS are amongst the best places on the high street and online to find a suit on a student budget. So in contrast to last week’s stone coloured delight, this week – it’s all about the dark.

Navy has always been a great colour for a suit combination if you’re bored of the same old black or grey. It’s got the ability to still be cool and on trend as well as being versatile and re-wearable. Like Ian, you can team your luscious navy suit with a t-shirt or with a white button down shirt for a more formal look.

Us ladies may have our skinny jeans and white tee’s as our staple items, but men should have one suit in their wardrobes as a staple for all those events that require you to, as Barney Stinson would say, suit up!
