Irish music fans have a lot to smile about this week after the announcement of two massive gigs at Dublin’s Marlay Park this summer.

The Irish venue will play host to Grammy award winners Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on Thursday, July 10 this year, before welcoming the stunning Sheffield four-piece Arctic Monkeys just two days later on Saturday, July 12.

The announcement came in the wake of duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis picking up an incredible four Grammys at the awards show on Sunday (January 26) for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance (for ‘Thrift Shop’), as well as Best Rap Album for their debut LP The Heist.

British songstress Ellie Goulding will join the the American rapper and producer at the show as the supporting special guest.

And as if welcoming multiple Grammy award winners to the city wasn’t enough, Arctic Monkeys will be headlining the park just days later.

The band will be hoping to add to their successes in 2013, which saw their fifth studio album AM being heralded as their best record to date and headlining the iconic Glastonbury Festival back in June.

The gig also comes just two months after the band’s huge UK shows at London’s Finsbury Park at the end of May.

Close friend Miles Kane will be supporting the Yorkshire quartet at the Irish gig, alongside Nottingham-born Jake Bugg and current ‘On The Radar’ favourites Royal Blood.

Tickets for both shows are released at the end of this week, with Arctic Monkeys tickets going on-sale Friday, January 31 at 9am priced from €61.50, while tickets for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ show go on sale Saturday, February 1 February at 10am, priced from €49.50.
