‘Making Waves’

As a busy student you never find enough time in the morning to sit in front of the mirror with your curlers to do your hair. So here are some useful styles, which will cut the time down:

Plaits

What you will need:

  • 2 hairbands
  • Hairspray

Wash your hair with your regular products, and semi-dry so it’s still slightly damp.

Next, part your hair down the middle and plait both sides. You then sleep in these overnight.

plait 2

In the morning, simply take out the plaits and brush them out with a wide-tooth comb.

To finish off this look you can either add some accessories and stylise your hair with a headband or a bandana, or simply add hairspray for extra hold.

However, if are looking more for large perfect curls instead of waves, then try this twisting technique.

Twisting

What you will need:

  • Around 10 hair clips (depending on how thick your hair is)
  • Hairspray

Similarly to the plaits tutorial, this is a technique that should befter a hair wash and semi-dry so it can dry through the night.

Create a parting down your head, leaving your hair in two sections.

Next, tightly twist each section of your hair all the way down and then keep twisting it round until you have a spiral shape on your head – go for the Princess Leia (or Miley Cyrus!) look, and use clips to hold this together.

After you have slept in this overnight, you can take your hair out and be left with perfect curls.

Again, you can finish off this by adding some accessories, or simply add hairspray for extra hold.
