On Wednesday 28th of October, DMU Hockey travelled to Bedfordshire for the first round of the cup off the back of two straight defeats to Coventry and Oxford, a win was a must! What better way to lead by example with Ireson converting possession into goals and slotting away his first, second and third goal in a matter of minutes. Ireson wasn’t the only quick-firing forward, a cup debut for Tevin mash saw him score four goals and two debutants, Jesse Chu and Harry Worall, adding their names to the growing scoresheet. Just the one goal for the Belgian new boy Julien Scheinok, proving that his hockey ability is just as silky as his pre-match chocolate. With Coach James in attendance, the boys looked confident, sharp and hungry. The Demons made the Bulls look more like laughing cows.

Final Score: University of Bedfordshire (Luton) 0: 12 DMU
