This season has seen the rise of minimalism and muted colours. Alongside the blacks, greys and navy’s, people have forgotten the perfect camel colour. A few seasons ago this trend took over most catwalks and also high street shops as the camel coat became a must have. This coat is not just for older women and can be pulled off by anyone. Contrary to popular belief camel is a very easy colour to pull off, it just depends how you wear it and what you team it with. If you were a fan of it a few seasons ago then waste no time and dust off your camel coat/cape and wear it again this winter.

Camel made it’s comeback on Max Mara’s Fall 2013 collection with the models wearing head to toe camel. Max Mara used the same shade but in different fabrics for most of the looks but also did different shades of camel for some of the looks with exceptional winter layering. A few season’s back Stella McCartney’s Pre-Fall 2010 lookbook featured some great camel coloured pieces which are still on trend now. Maison Martin Margiela’s Fall 2012 worked the look for men and it looks just as good as it does on women.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are some of the celebrities that have been spotted many times wearing their matching coats thrown over a simple outfit of jeans and a shirt. Fashion ‘It girl’ and sweet heart Alexa Chung has also been seen out wearing hers with multiple layers.
