Rihanna has unveiled her final collection with the retail store River Island this week. Last week the newly titled designer revealed photos of a few choice pieces with her fans on Instagram, gearing us up for the final release. The star posed in Greece with photographers Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold, showing off her new chic designs. The Pour It Up star was on trend making sure to incorporate a few looks of the season including metallic, tartan and floral print pieces.
Although the collection is a little less affordable than the previous three, Rihanna hit the nail on the head with her designs and sold out of many items online within a few hours of its release, including the very popular Floral Velvet Joggers costing £50. The collection also features five limited edition pieces worth up to £250; only 100 of each were manufactured. The limited pieces include Stretch Leather Trousers worth £250, a Snake Embossed Leather Skirt costing £100 and a Denim Trench Coat costing £120, again all very on trend pieces.
The collection is an array of urban chic and in my opinion perfect for Rihanna fans, with dresses, pants and winter coats the star covered all areas for her fourth and final collection.After a year of working with the brand, the star was said to have raised the company’s profile abroad, enhancing River Island’s chances of opening more stores worldwide.
