Kristen Bell and Josh Gad play Anna and Olaf in the newest Disney film

It seems that Disney can do no wrong. From classics like The Little Mermaid to more recent animated films like Tangled and The Princess and the Frog every idea that they have seems to be liquid gold. I have no problem admitting to enjoying all Disney related animations I’m always keen to find out what they come out with next. Once again the world is blessed to have another family hit from Disney with the release of Frozen. We should feel lucky that Disney enjoy outdoing themselves by creating cool likeable characters from the start, because Frozen was so easy to enjoy and left me with a nostalgic feeling when it ended.  This is a refreshingly original enchanting winter fairytale that can be enjoyed by all and it’s strange to think that a film devoted to ice and winter can leave the audience feeling all warm inside.

Frozen tells the story of two royal princesses Arendelle, a beautiful landscaped kingdom. Elsa the elder of the two is the new queen, but has hidden her secret ice and snow powers from her sister and the entire kingdom, that is until she accidentally freezes the land and flees to seclusion. Anna her headstrong somewhat naïve sister, makes it her mission to find and return her sister to stop the deep freeze. The film is loosely based on Hans Christian Anderson’s The Snow Queen, but rewritten to include whimsical characters, like Olaf the talking snowman, Kristoff and Sven the reindeer. The talented voices of Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell as the female leads Elsa and Anna, perform amazing original songs – my favourite being ‘Let It Go’ sung by Menzel’s character Elsa.

Film Review Frozen

“It seems that Disney can do no wrong.”

This heart warming family film will indeed become a Disney classic and it is no surprise that it has gone on to dominate the box offices and even become the world’s highest grossing animated film surpassing The Lion King and Finding Nemo. This film will not disappoint and it ticks all the right boxes:  a heart warming satisfying story, catchy tunes, laugh out loud moments and lovable characters.

I would definitely recommend everyone to watch it.
