When it comes to beauty marketing, YouTube is at the forefront. One of the most popular YouTubers (friends with icons such as Zoella, A Model Recommends, and Pixiwoo) is Tanya Burr, a former make-up artist that now showcases her tips and tricks online, as well as informal vlogs of her everyday life with of everything from fashion events to getting her hair done. But, like Zoella, Tanya Burr has recently released a beauty range all of her own, selling a range of lip-glosses, nail varnishes and six different pairs of falsies too, which are due for release soon!

As always, first impressions lie with the packaging; honestly, I am not the biggest fan as personally, I am a lover of all things black and simple a la NARS or MAC. But, it does appeal to a younger market, but I suppose as long as the product is good then that’s all that matters! It is also centrally focused on her as a YouTube star, after the entire brand is named after her.

Nevertheless, the products are a winner in my eyes. The lip-glosses are non-sticky and really do last on the lips – especially paired with a lipstick underneath. There are 12 different shades to choose from, everything from neutral to pillar box red! At a student friendly price of £6.99 this competes with many other drugstore brands on the market and are often on buy one get one half price at Superdrug stores.

Now for the nail polishes, at a low price of £4.99 they, like the lip-glosses, also come in a wide range of 10 different shades, all named personally by Tanya herself. With an application like Essie polishes, you really cannot go wrong; add a quick topcoat and you are good to go for 5 days straight without any potential chipping! My personal favourite shades of Tanya Burr’s nail varnish collection are Penguin Chic and Little Duck. Check them out!

Venture to feelunique.com or your local Superdrug store to take your pick from her brilliant collection.
