Emily Eavis of Glastonbury Festival has confirmed the first act to be appearing at next year’s festival which will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in June.

The Sunday afternoon ‘legends slot’ has previously seen performances from Paul Simon and last year saw Dolly Parton draw the biggest crowd in Glastonbury history. 2015 will see the one and only Lionel Richie make us feel ‘Easy Like Sunday Morning’… even if his set is in the early evening.

This first announcement has reignited the always present excitement levels of music fans all over the world as it is expected the full Glastonbury line-up will be released in March of next year.

With this announcement of Lionel Richie, attention will no doubt now turn to those three coveted headliner slots. Here at Demon Music our top picks for potential headliners are as follows – The Libertines, Florence & The Machine, Oasis and of course here’s hoping that Mick Fleetwood goes back on his word that Fleetwood Mac will not be playing the Pilton festival and are announced as headliners.

Fingers crossed for now but there is still a long time to wait music pilgrims!
