The Demon comprises of a monthly printed magazine and a regularly updated website containing relevant news coverage as well as entertainment, sport, lifestyle, fashion and discussion pieces.
The magazine is published every month and the articles that it contains are hand picked by a team of fantastic editors and then accompanying designs are produced from the editorial design team within Demon Design.
The beauty of the strand is that no two articles are the same. We have a passionate team of content creators and editors who write and produce articles of a high standard on a wide range of topics so you are sure to find something you are interested in reading on either platform.
DemonFM is an exciting and innovative radio station operating from De Montfort University and broadcasting 24 hours a day across Leicester City Centre on 107.5FM.
This academic year there are so many reasons to tune in, with our producers, presenters and management team full of exciting plans, especially as we prepare to celebrate our 21st year in radio.
We are also a member of the Student Radio Association. The SRA’s Annual Conference was held in Cardiff last March and attendees got the chance to speak with the likes of Greg James and Nick Grimshaw, among many others.
Since its early origins in 1995, FM has moved from strength to strength. Our listenership and opportunities are far more diverse than many of our rival stations, meaning there’s plenty of space for new members and ideas whether you’re a Fresher, or just wanting to make some exciting changes to your schedule here at DMU.
As the name might suggest, Demon TV is De Montfort University’s award-winning Student Television station and a member of the National Student Television Association. Over the past 12 years based in DMU’s TV studio, Demon TV has gone from strength to strength. From Celebrity interviews and live broadcasts, to sketches, sports and music; Demon TV has everything you could possibly ask for and is the perfect foundation for anyone with an interest or looking for a career in the TV, Video or film industry, regardless of their skill level.
As a part of this, we focus on increasing your employability – providing a variety of creative and technical training sessions and giving members real-world experience through a variety of opportunities, such as freelance projects that allow members to earn money whilst working on video and photographic commissions for real clients.
