In February Sue Ryder V&R in Leicester held a hugely successful ‘Lock-in’ event which raised £520 in aid of their charity. The night commenced with a champagne entrance and Chuck Berry; not to mention endless slices of homemade cake. Ticket holders were then given pampering Indian head massages followed by professional make-up and hair sessions, all in the classic 1940s panache. Jordan’s hair salon were superb hosting hair and beauty at their salon opposite the shop. LUSH came along and provided ‘lush’ arm massages- it all felt, smelt and looked a beautiful experience.
As the store was exclusively open to 22 customers, it gave style advisors time to focus all their attention to assisting individuals with their style needs and requirements.
Sue Ryder’s lock-in was sponsored by many high-street shops and luxury gift companies including LUSH, P&W gifts, Boots, Bodyshop and Costa who donated many treats for the customers. At the modest price of £12, customers were really getting more than their money’s worth.
