DMU’s Rugby society has contributed to raising over £1000 for the famous worldwide charity campaign Movember.

Organised by Alistair Brace, the team joined with other societies to raise money for the fantastic cause, and took part in a whole host of charitable events to help reach their target including regular bucket collections around campus.

Each member of the club set up their own personal online ‘Mo space’ where they promoted their impressive and innovative moustaches in the hope of persuading viewers to part with their hard earned cash.

Chief organiser of the event, Alistair Brace, was delighted with the efforts of the team:

“We came across as a united team who are passionate about raising money for charity. Movember is a charity that we strongly believe in and some of us share personal experience with this cause. Our team are always dedicated to raising money and will always give 110% effort. We are strong and united and will always go that extra mile for a good cause”.
