Adding to their two recent SkyBet Championship defeats, Leicester City have been dealt an injury blow ahead of tomorrow’s lunchtime top of the table clash with Burnley at the King Power Stadium.

Striker Chris Wood has been ruled out until the New Year with a hamstring problem whilst Captain Wes Morgan is fighting to be fit after being struck with illness this week.

Ritchie De Laet is also looking to make an appearance after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a shin problem.

Defeats away from home against Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton in the last two weeks have seen Nigel Pearson’s men drop from top spot to third. A win would see them leapfrog Sean Dyche’s Burnley whilst defeat would see them lose ground on the Lancashire outfit and open up an opportunity for fourth placed Derby County to close the gap to just one point.

Meanwhile Burnley arrive in the East Midlands with no injury worries following last weekends 1-0 victory over Barnsley which brought an end to their 6 game winless sequence.

The last time these sides met at the King Power Stadium the Foxes ran out 2-1 victors thanks to second half strikes from David Nugent and Jamie Vardy.

Leicester have only lost one game at home this season against East Midlands Nottingham Forest.

Kick off: 12:15pm.
