The rush to get to 9am lectures can be very stressful (the struggle to get out of bed and arguing with flat mates about who gets to shower first) so what most of us do not want to do is also think about what to wear. You always have to have the basics such as jeans and on trend tops. Once in a while you may have to swap the jeans for some sports-luxe joggers, leggings or midi skirt if you are really in a rush.

Although the sun has been coming out lately, its still winter and it is going to be quite cold for the next two months so it’s essential that you cover up as well as looking stylish. This season and the past one brought many different styled coats to suit everyone. The best thing about the perfect coat? You can over all your fashion mistakes underneath and still look stylish. First off is the wool coat, this was a big hit on the catwalk in the past season and it’s also going big in the new season. New look brought out some lovely pastel coloured wool coats which were a hit. If this is not for you then a faux fur coat might be a good change as they are very warm (a good fur coat will last you years). Bomber jackets are also quite trendy but are not as warm as the other coats. When it starts to get warmer you can cover up with a cardigan or a kimono style shirt from Topshop or Asos.
Suitable footwear is obviously very important in an outfit. Most of the girls are very skeptical about wearing heels to university especially in the morning for a 9am (and those stairs are not easy in high heels). This is why this season’s must have shoe the ‘shoe boot’ is a great alternative as they give you height but are very comfortable. However not all girls will want to wear these everyday so trainers such as Roshe Runs or Converse are a good everyday shoe as they go with everything (even dresses and skirts).

Last but not least accessories. The main one to have is a bag that can go with your outfit but also fit all the items you need to lectures and seminars. Satchel bags – A student classic bag. This is a bag style that will probably never go out of fashion and each year it is renovated. Check out the Cambridge Satchel Company for long lasting leather ones. Backpacks are back in. We saw them on the Chanel catwalk heavily embellished but realistsically most of us cannot afford those which is why Mipac and most high street shops have great versions. Lastly is the more feminine tore bag. Zara and Michael Kors are known for having amazing well made totes but they can sometimes be pricey. H & M and River Island are good substitutes if you want something that is less pricey but also looks good. Remember to have fun with your clothes and try out different styles. As you go along putting something together quickly will get easier.
