The news that none of us wanted to read, but at least it ends the constant ‘will they/won’t they’ paranoia for Mac fans all over the world as Mick Fleetwood put an end to the rumour that has been spiralling around the internet since last year.
Speaking to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2, drummer Mick Fleetwood confirmed the bad news saying:
‘One of the things I would like to clear up is that we’re not playing Glastonbury. No bad faith for Glastonbury, but we’re not playing it.’
The band had been hotly tipped to headline the festival since the rejoining of the band by member Christine McVie and the recovery of her ex-husband John McVie of his cancer treatment.
Fans shouldn’t be too disheartened though as this coming Monday (November 10th), the recently fully reformed band will be announcing a string of UK tour dates due to the incredible demand following their initial comeback in 2013 minus Christine McVie that saw the band play London’s o2 Arena amongst other huge venues.
Keep checking back with Demon Online for upcoming details about the tour announcement this Monday.
