Halloween night is creeping up slowly, so it is high time we had our spooky costumes sorted!

Everyone loves dressing up, no matter if it’s to go clubbing or to grab a few scary cocktails with friends, but wearing a tacky, ready-made fancy dress costume and a full face of smudged white paint might not always be the best idea.

Here are some ideas on how to keep with the haunted spirit and unique vibe of the night while wearing fairly normal outfits you can still sport all year round!

This year Primark and Missguided went all out with their Halloween edits, making sure every girl had a variety of styles to choose from –through cheeky and fun, to slightly more revealing and sexy, you will definitely something that suits your personality and the initial idea of how you want to look on that wicked evening.

Missguided has come up with loads of quirky, Halloween-themed patterns and designs that turn basic pieces into All Hallows gems. For those of you, who take fashion with a pinch of salt, an Eye Print Co-ord or a Skeleton Print T-shirt Dress will be a real hit in the bull’s eye! There are millions of styling options to choose from – a leather jacket or the trendiest duster coat to cover up, as well as some Chunky Thigh High Boots or simply good old Dr Martens to trod the streets in, are some dreadfully easy examples on how to be comfortable, but frighteningly stylish on Halloween.

We fell completely in love with that Primark High Neck Lace Dress, which immediately brings to mind the Victorian style of the ‘Woman in Black’. No matter what you are dressing up as, this dress will have you covered; put on a veil and velvet gloves for a timeless Black Widow look, or add a long black cape and a wide brim hat – Hocus Pocus, we have a striking, modern witch, straight from ‘American Horror Story’ ready to rock!

The Flared Sleeve Blouse by River Island will give you a similar witch-like effect you can add to with anything you fancy – a leather midi skirt and some strappy heels for a very sophisticated, yet a bit demonic look to sip Bloody Mary in, or simply black leather leggings, accessorised with an Intricate Necklace, Lace Cat Ears or even… a masquerade mask.

No matter if you choose to go all out or just throw something very easy and casual on, these pieces will make sure your look is far from le grand macabre.
