We always to look to fashion capitals such as London, Paris and New York for the the latest trends, but this spring we’re reminded that fashion is an international art that comes from the people walking the streets. One of the biggest motifs of major lines that hit the fashion shows for this summer is the Oriental.
Prada and Etro set the examples to follow with floral patterns, shiny metallics and a season full of Eastern promise.
Monsoon have plenty to choose from for inspiration for this look, ranging from a long maxi dress – perfect for the summer warmth, or choosing a simple metallic chiffon top and teaming it again with the key staple pencil skirt, or a loose fitting black leather skirt. You can keep this look simple or clash patterns together to make a look that will really stand out.

Asos and Zara have given their take on the infamous bomber jacket with a variety of kimonos, that can be effective in layering the look and go well over a maxi dress, or if you prefer a shorter length dress. New Look have a lot to offer in the form of shorter summer style dresses.Long Paisley skirts add a bohemian look to the piece, again ASOS has a lot to offer in way of choice, and teamed with a tight fitting blouse or metallic top makes a flattering outfit for any shape.
Accessorising isn’t as important with this trend considering that the clothes themselves are quite adventurous. Some simple sandals or heels, and boho style jewellery kept to a minimum with emphasis on long hanging necklaces and heavy bangles will work perfectly.
