In the world of showbiz there are awards ceremonies for everything, from: music, film, theatre and fashion. But one of the greatest awards ceremony’s out there has to be the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
The evening is filled with honouring the most inspiring and beautiful women of the celebrity world; celebrating women from the sporting world to our new favourite singers.
And who better to arrive fashionably at the Glamour Awards than the Women of the Year? It seemed this year that these lovely ladies pulled out all of the stops when it comes to the utter coolness that these women brought to the table.
The winners ranged from Victoria Beckham who won the prestigious Woman of the Decade award to The Saturdays taking Best Band and hilarious-lady Rebel Wilson bringing Best Film Actress home to Australia.
My best dressed list starts with the leading lady of the night. She was once Posh Spice but is now one of the world’s best fashion designers who has celebrities and fashionistas everywhere craving for one of her up and coming pieces. At the Glamour Awards, Victoria wore a Maison Martin Margiela jumpsuit. The extremity of the neck like help to make this jumpsuit a little more chic and a little less ‘eek’! Smoky eyes and nude lips matched perfectly with the gold box clutch that was perfectly tucked under her arm.

MTV host Laura Whitmore brought kookiness into the cool category with her graphic printed Carven dress. The high next and shortness of the dress combined with her fun speech bubble-shaped clutch and dusky pink lips took the sixties category and brought it perfectly on trend this season.

While the pyjama trend being one that was always a little strange on the catwalks, ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress Rashida Jones took that trend and turned it around. The navy floral pyjama shirt and matching trousers ensured that Rashida stood out from the crowd at the event. Wonderful!

Myleen Klass, who also won a Glamour Award, wore a gorgeously vibrant pink Rachel Gilbery dress. Its simplicity is something that caught my eye because although it is extreme in its colour – it’s also extreme in its elegance. Her hair, as always, is brilliantly curled and positioned to the side.
However, my favourite from the evening was cool-as-a-cucumber, Brit model and it-girl Cara Delevingne. Cara wore a cheeky slogan tee tucked into tailored black trousers with a studded clutch to tie it all together. The punkness of her outfit was topped off with her choice of red lips to match those vibrant red heels. Although her outfit isn’t a gorgeously chic gown, her outfit still makes her rise to the top because of her attitude and coolness not only with this outfit – but with all of them.
