Autumn is already upon us and soon winter will be here. The quick change means we’ve all had to adjust our wardrobes quickly and most still haven’t bought their autumn/winter must haves. Every winter you have to purchase a new coat and shoes to tackle the weather. This is Demon’s student takeover guide to help those who aren’t sure what wardrobe staples to get for this winter. Highcross shopping centre will be holding a ‘student lock in’ night on the 15th of October so even those of us who’ve spent most of our loan money will still be able to purchase items.

Winter coat

Wool Coat – Basically the ‘Must have’ coat for A/W 13-14. It’s been seen on many runways and several of our favourite high street shops have done their own versions. Get the one from H & M with 20% student discount.

Bomber – Although these aren’t stylish they are great for autumn and winter. The North Face (20%) and Nike do great ones.

Pea Coat – This is a great alternative for the males who like more toned down clothes. Get the one below from Topman with 20% student discount.

Wellies- These are perfect for those snowy morning walks to campus. This is a part of summer you can bring into winter as you can reminisce on the things you did at festivals whilst wearing these. However they can get very cold so it’s wise to get thick socks with them (Primark, Tk Maxx and Debenhams stock great ones.)

Riding Boots- River Island – these are a classic must have for every woman as they never go out of style. Easy to just throw over some leggings or tights. River island (20% off) Topshop (20% off) Aldo (15% off)

Trainers – Whether you’ve recently joined the gym or just need day to day footwear this is a great item to have in your wardrobe. The great thing is that they are unisex and can be worn in different ways depending on your own personal style. The Roshe Runs are very comfortable and look good at the same time. You can get your own pair from Office, Footassylm and Schuh.
