Last Saturday, Demon Media were invited to a sold out Y Theatre on East Street in Leicester city centre, to have a chat to some of the artist performing that night.
Billed as Tom Stade and co, the night featured top comedians Romesh Ranganathan, Joey Page, headline act Tom Stade, with the night being hosted by one of Wales’ finest exports. No, not Rhod Gilbert. Even better, we had the significantly less aggressive, but just as witty, Elis James. We talked to both Tom and Elis that night during their only show during the festival for two exclusive interviews. Click below to watch.
If you missed the shows, or just want to get some comedy up in you, then fear not. The festival will be running for another 9 days, until Sunday 23rd February. The Y Theatre has a host of shows that will be sure to tickle your funny bones and switch your comedy dials all the way to 11. Tomorrow night (Saturday 15th), star of Mock The Week and Dave’s One Night Stand Gary Delany will take to the stage, with support from the brilliant Chris McCausland, Newcastle funny man Tony Jameson and musical wonderkid Rob Carter. Once again, we’ll be on hand to bring you more interviews from the show shortly afterwards.
Sunday brings the best in Far East comedy, with Asian Persuasion. Host Adnan Ahmed will be joined by Nish Kumar, Micky Sharma and headline act, the hilarious Imran Yusuf. The final week of the festival see’s the Y’s stage being graced with TV star Chris Ramsey, and the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competition.
