After two weeks of celebrating its 21st birthday party in style, Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival has packed away the decorations, cleared up the empty bottles, and is nursing it’s hangover until next year.
But Demon Media joined the party, and were bothering the guests all throughout the festival armed with a camera or two, occasionally a boom mic, and a set of questions. Some people call these interviews. We’ll be bringing you all the interviews over the coming days, in case you missed out on seeing one of your favourite acts, want to see what really makes them tick, or even stumble across someone new.
Today we’re going to kick off with someone who, unless you live under an enormous rock, you most certainly will have heard of. Comedian, star of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, director, author, artist and general comedy king, Phill Jupitus. Phill was in town to appear at Just the Tonic on Wednesday 19th February for the Laughing Matters Fundraiser. All proceeds from the night went towards this great cause, and we caught up with Phill before his only appearance at the festival, for a precisely five minute chat.
