button-tim-leicesterOn the 6th – 8th February Heroes are returning to Leicester to perform their award winning acts. 2014 was their first time running a venue at DLCF and they are confident that this year their show will become a great hub of the festival. Heroes of Leicester have also won the Liberty Award (for Spirit of the Festival) and Bob Slayer has said that ‘These are the awards we seem to win at festivals – because we aren’t commercial but performers and punters really like what we do – which thankfully means we can afford to keep doing it…’. This year – in that spirit – Heroes are opening up another new venue so head over to the LCB Depot for some excellent performances.

Heroes @ LCB Depot

Practically opposite the Curve in the heart of the cultural quarter:

– The home of the Comedy Festival offices and a whole host of other creative businesses is a hidden gem with great spaces.

– The lightbox studio is a perfect venue space.

– Plus Grays Cafe is probably the best restaurant / heated patio and hang out spot of the festival (and we still get to run the bar!)

Building on last year’s success our line-up is even stronger this year.

Favourites Returning:

We are bringing back many of 2014’s favourites such as Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Devvo, Ian D Montfort, Phil Kay, Ivan Brackenbury, Tim Fitzhigham, Tim Renkow etc

New Additions:

We are opening proceedings with the Weirdos Weekender – Showcases weird and wonderful acts from the London based Weirdos Collective – Many of which are Free. We also have Arthur Smith, Candy Gigi, Seymour Mace and many more

Local Talent:

The best of local talent is also represented by Matt Hollins who kicks off our festival on Friday 5th, Tina Turner Tea Lady, Crabula and many more.
