The Leicester Vegan Fair is back this weekend for the third time following the previous success and it’s going to be huge!
There is going to be plenty of foods for you to try from hot food catering, like Caribbean and burgers, to cupcakes, cheese and even vegan marshmallows. There’s guaranteed to be a little of something for everyone.
The fair is so much more than just food though! So don’t worry if you don’t want to try anything, there’s still so much more that you can do. There are going to be artists and crafts attending the fair with pottery, stone craft and candle holders. Not to mention, you will find plenty of items on sale. You’ll find stalls selling anything from tea to t-shirts. You’ll even find vegan hair and skin care so you can stock up on all of your cruelty-free beauty products. Don’t worry guys, with a Dr Ice stall selling men’s grooming products, there’s something there for you too!
Entertainment will include music provided by Ready Steady Disco with appearances from other musicians including Vegan Vampires and Becky Edwards.
There are plenty of ways to learn more about a vegan lifestyle while you’re there with talks on ‘The Reality of Dairy’ as well as charities and information stalls. Food for a Future will be putting cookery demonstrations for those of you who want to learn more about cooking for vegan diet. Not to mention that DMU’s own vegetarian and vegan society will be there to provide you with information on the group!
With so many so many things to view and get involved with, you are bound to find something to interest you and with the amount of stalls you definitely won’t be lacking things to do. Everyone is welcome, from families to students, there is bound to be a bit something to suit everyone.
The event is organised by Leicester Vegan Community, a voluntary community group who use events and education to promote veganism. They are always looking for vegans to volunteer to help with events. Head over to their Facebook page to get involved or find out more about what they do.
Leicester Vegan Fair will take place from 10am to 4pm this Saturday at Fullhurst Community College. So head on over and enjoy all of the activities and delicious foods that they have on offer! Visit the Leicester Vegan Fair Facebook page for more information on the stalls that will be attending.
