Nowadays, students are bombarded with all of these celebrities actively promoting products left, right and centre. So it leaves the question, “Who should students be currently looking up to?” Now, as popularity and having the perfect Instagram posts are becoming such important factors among young people, you’d think I would suggest some mega-famous actor or actress. However, I’m not.
Many students watch YouTube regularly, yet they don’t necessarily look for channels that could help them push them out of their comfort zone and try something new. This is where Yes Theory enters the picture. Yes Theory is group that came together from different countries and are now friends, spreading a positive message of ‘Seek Discomfort’. The group stands for putting yourself out there and saying ‘Yes’ to new experiences because you never know what or who you might find.
Many students starting university feel daunted about not fitting in and trying to make friends. So following Yes Theory’s prompt, you can try to jump in head first, and you’ll be right in the middle of all of these exciting things you never thought you’d be doing just a week ago.
So if I can leave you with just one thing; Seek Discomfort, say Yes and who knows where it will lead you.
Be open to new experiences.
