Friday 20th February
Bobby Mair’s Edinburgh 2014 show was one of the most memorable shows I’ve ever attended. When I desperately needed the toilet half an hour in, I happened to be sitting in the centre of the front row, metres from Bobby. The self proclaimed ‘crazy homeless crackhead’ lookalike did not take kindly to me getting up to leave the room, berating me as I left the room. When I returned it took me a while to notice that Bobby had been through my bag, was wearing my watch and drinking my water. The finale of the show was him crowd surfing to the back of the room, that day he invited me to do the same. I know this might put some people off, but it was a stand-out show of the festival for me. Go and see him, it’ll be an experience.

Paul Foot is another comedian I’ve had some interesting experiences with. The eccentric mullet sporter offered me a lick of the phallic looking ice lolly he was eating to cool down after his show. Then we agreed to perform some street theatre together.
