In the current issue of The Demon circulating around campus at the moment, it has been reported that DMU’s Mature Student Society will be hosting a Christmas Party for all the family.
Since the issue had gone to print, irreconcilable differences within the society has resulted in both Chairwoman, Lybbi Hatton, and committee member, Matt Carter, standing down from their roles.
The duo, who were organising the Christmas event, decided to leave the society due to differences of opinion within the group.
Both Hatton and Carter have chosen not to comment on their decision.
As a result, the prospects of the party taking place is still yet to be confirmed.
