Parliament has just voted in favour of air strikes against Syria.

The vote took place after a day of debates in the Commons.

397 voted in favour of airstrikes against 223 a majority of 174.


The debate took place over 10 hours in the Commons today, with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn strictly against intervention in Syria.

Airstrikes against Islamic State will happen within a matter of hours and take place over night.
