Voting for the De Montfort Students’ Union’s (DSU) 2021 Elections is now officially…OPEN! As a student-led organisation, DMU students have the power to decide their next leaders for the 2021-2022 academic year. 

This election is specifically to elect your representatives, including the five full-time Executive Officers and seven part-time Liberation Officers for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The full-time Executive Officer roles up for election are:

  • Union Development Executive
  • Academic Executive
  • Equality and Diversity Executive
  • Student Opportunities and Engagement Executive
  • Welfare Executive

The part-time Liberation roles up for election are:

  • Black, Asian, Minority Ethnicity (BAME) Officer
  • Disabled Students’ Officer
  • International Students’ Officer
  • LGBTQ+ Students’ Officer
  • Mature Students’ Officer
  • Postgraduate Students’ Officer

These elections use a proportional representation system. This means you will be presented with all the candidates you are eligible to vote for in a list categorized by post. Here you can select your candidates for each post in order of preference. You can find out more about how to vote here.
