One trend which has hit the fashion world this year is the return of the 90’s. Towards the end of last year the 90’s made their appearance in women’s fashion, with patterns such as tartan and effortless tailoring. This up and coming Spring/Summer sees the 90’s making their comeback in full, to both women’s and men’s fashion.

High street stores; Topshop and Topman have just released their full range of 90’s garments from graphic tees and sport inspired items.

One of Topshop’s 90’s trends is ‘Rave New world’; channelling the best of the 90’s with a twist. The trend incorporates items such as sweaters, graphic printed tees, and denim; adding a sporty yet festival vibe to your wardrobe.

Some key items from this trend, which I believe can easily liven up any girl’s wardrobe, are; dip dye denim hot pants, Aztec pleat sun top and knitted twist fluro jumper. Each of these items can easily be incorporated into your current wardrobe, due to their versatility and the way each item can be worn with many wardrobe basics.

Topman’s trend; ‘Geek Street’, transports you back to the 90’s by mixing bold patterns and bright neon colours. The trend is not only inspired by the 90’s, but it also draws on street style and sports inspired items. This trend isn’t just for the geeks among us; it’s also a style which showcases the best of street, 90’s and sports, all in one collection.

Key items in this feature include; slim fit vintage and acid wash jeans, slogan tees such as ‘Geek’ and ‘Dweeb’.  My personal favourite is the ‘Boom Pow’ graphic tee, inspired by the great 90’s TV show ‘Saved by the Bell’. This trend is sure to release your inner street geek.

At first I was apprehensive when I found out that the 90’s were finally making their comeback, but I’m happy to say that Topshop and Topman have brought it back with a new and stylish twist.
