Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is sweating over the fitness of a quartet of players ahead of tonight’s televised top of the table Sky Bet Championship clash against Derby County at King Power Stadium.
Danny Drinkwater, Ignasi Miquel, Gary Taylor Fletcher and Matty James are all nursing knocks and decisions will be made today over their fitness.
Pearson will be encouraged by Chris Wood’s return to training after injury. The New Zealander could feature for the Foxes.
Leicester are in formidable home form and have only lost 1 game at the King Power Stadium this season.
Last time out the Foxes lost to Stoke City in the FA Cup but have won the last four in the league.
Steve McClaren’s resurgent Rams will welcome back Craig Bryson after the midfielder missed out in last weekend’s FA Cup defeat to Chelsea.
Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford could make his first start following his move to the East Midlands on Monday.
A win for the Foxes would see them go 7 points a clear at the top of the table whereas defeat would see Derby close the gap to just 1.
