Whilst in Leicester City Centre with Becca,, after attending the Autumn Fashion Fix, we decided to have a wander round all the beauty stores to see if we could be tempted into getting a new lip gloss or nail polish in a daring colour.
When we entered Superdrug I saw a stand that was full of some very familiar looking makeup bags, and that’s when it hit me: the Zoella Beauty Range was already in stores!
Perhaps they were just as excited as me when they received it, and decided to put it on the shelves a day early. But nobody cares about specifics, so I grabbed the green makeup bag/pencil case with peach spots and a print of Zoella’s eyes on the front, made a dash for the nearest sales assistant and asked her where the rest of the collection was stored.
On the shelves, which were unsurprisingly bare, most of the collection except for the ‘Creamy Madly Dreamy’ body lotion and the ‘Blissful Mistful’ body spray were there. But I plan to venture once more to Superdrug to pick those up when they’re back in stock.
After spending £23 on the Zoella ‘Soak Opera’ bath soak and shower cream, £5, the aforementioned makeup bag/pencil case, £8, the ‘Let’s Glow’ candle, £5, and the ‘Fizz Bar’ bath fizzers, £5, I was extremely excited to go back and test them out!
The makeup bag that also doubles as a pencil case is a great size, especially for people like me who have about one hundred different makeup brushes with their own purpose. Ferrying a drawstring toiletries bag was no longer suitable, so this Zoella one is perfect for travelling makeup in your handbag or weekend bag.
All of the body range collection, including the candle, has an incredible scent that is not only fresh, but also feminine and very addictive! The candle promises to fill your room and ‘free your mind with its gentle blend of white wood accents, sweet vanilla and floral notes.’ Yum!
While I haven’t used the bath products yet, I can already foresee that bath time is going to be made much more exciting with Lush-esque bath fizzers and ‘Soak Opera’, which has extracts of Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Aloe – all the good stuff for your skin!
The Zoella Beauty Range certainly lives up to its hype. It is beautifully packaged in peach, gold and white tones that look gorgeous together as a collection. Zoe should be extremely proud with the range as it’s priced great, looks incredible, smells even more so and is, all-in-all, very Zoella.
