image Second year students will take to Candy Stripe on March 15 to show off their handmade garments as part of their Contour Fashion course.

I spoke to Kamara Bodell who is part of the Catwalk Committee who said, “it’s an opportunity for second year Contour students to showcase all of their hard work. It will be a mix of swimwear and corsetry work.”

“the shows are extremely important to students as an incentive to see their work being shown, it’s a chance for friends and family to see what their friend or relative is capable of, and the work is really incredible.”

The show, which takes place at 6pm on Sunday, is an important one for second year students for many reasons, and can take a lot of hard work and grueling to get there. But Kamara commends De Montfort’s Contour Fashion course, she said it’s “demanding and hard work, but the rewards far surpass the hard work. It’s a unique and world renowned course and an amazing family to be part of.”

Don’t miss out on seeing some incredible work by the talented second year Contour Fashion students at Candy Stripe, 6pm, March 15.

Tickets are £6 or £8 on the door.
