Don’t we all wish that we could be a celebrity just to rock the high-end clothes, be styled by designers and mostly not have to count the pennies? This Christmas and New Years, don’t just obsess over celebs and their killer outfits, recreate them! You’ll be surprised at how easy it is to find dupes of items on the high street. I’ve taken three very different looks in order to cater for different styles and have found cheaper alternatives at a fraction of the price making it so easy to slay Christmas or new years on a budget.
Rihanna in red:   Rihanna takes the very popular trend of mixing glam and grunge incorporating both styles effortlessly into one outfit. Starting with the red velvet slip dress with is definitely Christmas appropriate, she takes what would be seen as an extremely girly dress and twists it more to suit the edgy Rihanna we all know and love. Her dress is ‘Jean Paul Gaultier’ which we can assume will be in the thousands region, I found a virtually identical dress at ‘Boohoo.com’ for £12!    The other item I looked for was a cheaper alternative to her ‘Vetements Shearling Jacket’ which is priced at £4123. Luckily this jacket is majorly popular right now and more or less available everywhere. However, I found a similar one that has the wide borders of fur without the mainstream buckle detail that is featured in most retailers. Only £45 at ‘Miss Selfridge’, this jacket is a steal.
Kendall’s Killer Birthday:   This dress sported by Kendall on her 21st birthday was featured in every magazine, the ‘LaBourjoisie chainmail dress’ retails at a crazy £6853 which we can assume is down to the crystals covering every inch. This year it seems that the high street is producing its own version which I could not be more ecstatic about. I found that ‘Topshop’ is selling an exact replica of the dress, surpassing other stores as the dupe is only priced at £69! Layer a few silver chokers and you’ve basically got that Kendall approved outfit.    Of course, we can’t go without a trusty bag to hold the basic lippy and keys. Forget the ‘L’Afshar Lucite’ clutch which is £680, I got you covered with a similar ‘ChiChi’ bag sold at Asos for only £15!
Dress like Zendaya:   This girl has captured many people with her down-to-earth attitude and just general relatability, but now she should be praised for her eagerness to help us mere-mortals achieve her style goals. Her website ‘by Zendaya’ features her clothing line which is not only at an extremely affordable price but has her rocking and styling the clothes so those not so stylishly inclined can copy and be sure to nail her look.   The velvet blazer, £15 (on sale) and lace bodysuit, £12 (on sale) which are beautiful in their own right are available to purchase from her website.    I found an equally affordable pair of velvet flare trousers just to complete the look at ‘Topshop’ for only £22! Rock all these items together to recreate this stylish outfit or use these key individual items to create your own Zendaya inspired look.
