With Pantone’s colour of the year 2016 being announced last week, it’s finally time to see which colours we can bring into our wardrobes for next year, and this one is a cracker. Rose Quartz and Serenity are the colours that everyone is talking about, so let’s see why they have selected two colours for this year and where we can find them on the high street.
In every wardrobe you find the essential of that good old lazy shirt that you want to wear, so the cotton t-shirt from Mango is the one for you. The short sleeved and unfitted style is great to just laze around with that tub of ice cream as you begin that dreaded essay. Also, following on with the casual look, the blue canvas slip on plimsolls from New look work well with a comfy pair of jeans or a cute denim short outfit.
You can never go wrong with a good skater skirt look and this rose pink colour is perfect. Its versatility has no bounds either. Matching this with a cosy top and jumper, such as the knitted jumper from House of Fraser, or just a smart blouse couldn’t be easier and something that anyone could pull off.
Finally, if you are not keen on those calming pastel colour shades, then why not just add that pop of colour into your accessories. The envelope clutch from Missguided is a slightly lighter shade of pink which would be gorgeous with any monochrome outfit and some matching pink shoes.
